    What the company does

WEX provides payment and software services across three segments: Mobility, Benefits and Corporate Payments. The filing states that its wholly owned subsidiary WEX Bank funds a significant portion of its Mobility and Corporate Payments operations, and also serves as the depository institution for the majority of the health savings account (HSA) deposits the company holds.

    Mobility

Mobility provides fleet payment, transaction processing and information management services through three business units: North American Mobility for light and medium duty vehicle fleets, Over-the-Road for medium and heavy duty vehicles in the freight economy in North America, and International Mobility for fleets outside North America, including Europe and Asia-Pacific. The filing states that its own closed-loop payments network in the U.S. covers more than 90 percent of fuel charging locations, and at the point of sale it captures data such as the driver, the vehicle, the odometer reading and the items purchased. It also offers short term credit on the majority of Mobility transactions, freight invoice factoring for trucking customers, software for field service businesses, and tools for fleets that add electric vehicles. Its brands include WEX-branded fleet cards in North America and Europe, Esso-branded fleet cards in Europe, Motorpass in Australia, and the EFS, T-Chek and Fleet One network brands, and it also sells through co-branded and private label programs with fuel providers and fleet management companies. In 2025 it signed a long-term agreement covering the U.S. commercial card portfolio business of BP.
