How to download stock data to Excel or Google Sheets

Open any company, press Export, tick what you want and pick Excel or Google Sheets. The file holds the statements by year and quarter, with every period naming its filing.

    From any company page.

    1. 1Open a company

Search any US company or ticker, or start from Apple's page.

    2. 2Press Export

Tick the statements (as reported or in standard lines), the periods (years, quarters or trailing twelve months) and any of about 270 figures and ratios.

    3. 3Pick the format

For comparing peers, a sector or your own list.

    Questions

    Is the Excel download free?+
Yes, with a free account: the last 5 fiscal years of any company, 10 files a month, no card. A data plan opens every year back to the first filing and unlimited files.
    What is inside the workbook?+
One tab for each statement you tick (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, as reported and in standard lines), tabs for the figures and ratios you pick, and, if you ask for them, the filings, insider trades, fund holders and more. Money is in millions of US dollars and every period names the filing it comes from.
Does it work with Google Sheets?+
Yes. Pick Google Sheets in the Export panel and the same tabs open in your own Google Sheets, in your Drive. Google asks for your OK the first time.
    Are prices in the file?+
No. Files carry what companies file and what the SEC, FINRA and the House publish. Share prices, and figures worked out from them such as P/E and market value, are left out.
Can I use the files at work?+
Your own research is free, with credit and a link. Using the data at work inside one firm, including research for your clients, comes with the Professional plan.

Free for your personal research, with credit and a link. For API access, bulk files or commercial use, tell us what you need. The data licence
