What the company does
UiPath sells software that automates business processes, using software robots, AI agents and models that work alongside people. It started with computer vision and user interface automation in its first product, which it calls RPA and which remains the base of the UiPath Platform. It was first established in Bucharest, Romania in 2005, incorporated in Delaware on June 9, 2015, and has its principal executive offices in New York.
Platform
UiPath Maestro is the platform's orchestration layer, which assigns tasks among people, robots and AI agents, including agents from other vendors, and the platform adds process intelligence that combines process mining and task mining. Developers can build RPA workflows, API integrations and AI agents in one environment, and UiPath Agent Builder lets companies create and deploy agents that plan and act. Its robots carry out rule-based tasks across desktop and web applications, using document understanding and computer vision to work with application screens. Other products include UiPath IXP for extracting data from documents, UiPath Test Cloud for software testing, and packaged solutions for industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, retail, supply chain and manufacturing. The platform also includes an AI Trust Layer, role-based access controls and audit logging.
