What the company does
CCC was founded in 1980 and provides Software-as-a-Service ("SaaS") and AI software for what it calls the insurance economy: insurers, repairers, automakers and parts suppliers. Its cloud platform connects more than 35,000 businesses. The business rests on two pillars, automotive insurance claims and automotive collision repair. CCC has more than 300 insurers on its network, connected with more than 30,500 repair facilities. It had approximately 2,185 employees at 31 December 2025.
How the business is organised
CCC operates in one reportable segment, and its chief executive officer reviews results on a consolidated basis.
- CCC Insurance Solutions: approximately 49%, of which 94% is software revenue and 6% is other revenue. - CCC Repair Solutions: approximately 43%, with nearly 100% software revenue. - CCC Ecosystem and Other Solutions: approximately 7%, of which 89% is software revenue and 11% is other revenue. - CCC International Solutions: approximately 1%, all software revenue.
Software subscriptions make up 96% of total revenue. The rest is mainly professional services and other non-software services.
What it sells
Medhub, a bodily injury claims synthesis tool, is available for disability, workers' compensation and auto casualty claims.
CCC started Direct Repair Programs ("DRP") in the United States in 1992. These programs link insurers and repair shops, and the filing says CCC's technology facilitates the majority of them.
In China, CCC sells workflow, estimating, audit and analytics software to automotive insurers. Products are sold individually or in packages.
Who buys from it
CCC counts more than 35,000 customers:
- More than 300 insurers, including 27 of the top 30 automotive insurance carriers and 9 of the top 15 disability insurance carriers in the U.S., based on direct written premiums. - More than 30,500 collision repair facilities, including all of the national multi-store operators. - More than 6,000 parts and diagnostics suppliers. - 14 of the top 15 automotive manufacturers.
Insurer contracts average about three to five years, and repair facility contracts average about three years. Implementations take less than three months on average and are done mainly by CCC's own service and training teams. Sales teams are split by customer type. Small and midsize business sales use account teams and inside sales, while larger insurers and automakers get enterprise and regional account teams. CCC also publishes an industry dataset called Crash Course and holds an invitation-only Industry Conference each year.
Technology and data
The platform runs in a multi-tenant public cloud. It has over 888,000 registered users and processes 5.7 billion database transactions per day. CCC began offering cloud capabilities in 2003. It reports system availability of 99.9% since January 2021 and more than 1,700 software releases in 2025.
The network handles more than 600 million interface transactions a year, and CCC stores nearly 800 million photos a year. CCC has developed more than 400 AI models. More than 125 U.S. insurers and more than 15,000 U.S. collision repairers use AI-powered solutions in production.
How it competes
The filing calls the insurance economy software market highly competitive and fragmented. It names four groups of competitors:
- Software that customers build themselves, often with consulting firms. - Insurance software vendors. - Large horizontal technology providers. - Other ecosystem vendors, such as collision repair software and parts e-commerce platforms.
CCC says it believes it competes favorably on each. It owned 33 issued U.S. patents at 31 December 2025, with 13 applications pending, and uses confidentiality and invention assignment agreements with employees and contractors.
Its people
CCC had approximately 2,185 employees and 568 contingent employees. Of the employees, approximately 2,105 are in the U.S. and 80 are international. None are represented by a labor union, and the company reports no work stoppages. It offers a flexible work model, a 401(k) with match, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, tuition reimbursement and a formal internship program.
