What the company said with its results
The key points, guidance and management's own words from each of the last four results releases.
Key points
Quarterly sales slipped one percent
Net sales were $6.38 billion, down 1% from the prior year. Organic sales fell 2% and volume fell 3%, while price/mix rose 1%, reflecting higher Seed pricing partly offset by Crop Protection competitive pricing.
Operating EBITDA rose on margin gain
Operating EBITDA was $2.26 billion, up 4%, and the Operating EBITDA margin improved by more than 190 basis points. Operating EPS was $2.30, up 5% from the prior year.
GAAP income and EPS declined
GAAP income from continuing operations after tax was $1.22 billion, compared with $1.38 billion a year earlier. GAAP diluted EPS was $1.81, down 10%.
First-half sales and earnings higher

Seed sales flat in quarter
Seed net sales were $4.53 billion, flat year on year. Price/mix rose 3% and volume fell 3%. Segment operating EBITDA was $1.97 billion, up 6%.
Price rose on top technology
Seed price/mix gains were attributed to demand for top technology and higher out-licensing income. Price/mix gains came in all regions in the first half, led by North America.
First-half Seed EBITDA up 11%
First-half Seed segment operating EBITDA was $3.00 billion, up 11%, with the segment margin up by more than 235 basis points.
Crop Protection sales down four percent
Crop Protection net sales were $1.85 billion, down 4% from $1.92 billion. Price fell 4% and volume fell 2%, partly offset by a 2% favorable currency impact.
Crop Protection first-half sales up
First-half Crop Protection net sales were $3.73 billion, up 3%. Currency added 4% and volume added 2%, partly offset by a 3% price decline. Organic sales fell 1%.
Crop Protection EBITDA rose on cost actions
Crop Protection segment operating EBITDA was $342 million, up 2%, with the margin up more than 110 basis points. Cost actions and currency offset volume and price pressure.
Royalty cuts lifted Seed margin
Seed segment operating EBITDA margin improved by more than 230 basis points in the quarter. Price/mix, lower net royalty expense and cost actions offset lower volume and higher R&D and functional cost.
Higher bad debt in Seed costs
Seed selling, administrative and R&D expense rose in the first half, including higher bad debt. Price/mix, royalty reductions and cost actions more than offset those increases.
Crop Protection network restructuring to 2028
Restructuring of the Crop Protection network of manufacturing and external partners is expected to be substantially complete in 2028.
Farmers prioritizing technology investment
Management said farmers will keep prioritizing productivity and returns, which supports adoption of advanced genetics and differentiated Crop Protection products.

What the company does
Corteva supplies seed and crop protection products to agriculture, reaching farmers in approximately 110 countries. It was incorporated in Delaware in March 2018 with business headquarters in Indianapolis, and it became an independent public company on 1 June 2019 when DowDuPont distributed its shares, having first contributed EIDP, formerly E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, so that Corteva owns all of EIDP's common stock. Operations run through two segments, Seed and Crop Protection. On 1 October 2025 the company announced its intent to separate those two businesses into standalone publicly traded companies in a transaction intended to be a tax-free spin-off for United States federal income tax purposes.
Seed
The segment develops and supplies commercial seed combining germplasm with traits meant to raise yield potential, and holds positions in North American corn and soybeans, European corn and sunflower, and corn in Brazil, India, South Africa and Argentina. Its seed and trait technologies aim at resilience to weather, pests, diseases and the herbicides used to control weeds, and its digital tools offer data-driven insights on yield and profitability. Brands include Pioneer, Brevant, Dairyland Seed, Hoegemeyer hybrids, Nutech, Seed Consultants, AgVenture, PhytoGen cottonseed and Pannar. Traits and technologies include the Enlist weed control system with Enlist corn, Enlist E3 soybeans and Enlist cotton, Herculex and WideStrike insect protection, the PowerCore and SmartStax trait families, Optimum AcreMax insect protection, Qrome corn, Plenish high oleic soybeans, Nexera canola and Conkesta soybeans, alongside LumiGEN seed treatments. Since 2019 the company has been accelerating the Enlist E3 trait through its soybean portfolio across brands.
