What the company said with its results
From the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 results, filed 6 August 2026.
- Revenue up 28%, Cloud up 31%. Total revenue was $1,766 million, up 28%, and Cloud revenue was $1,213 million, up 31%. Subscription ARR and RPO also rose strongly in percentage terms.
- Fiscal 2026 revenue up 26%. FY26 revenue was $6,572 million, up 26%. GAAP operating income was $10 million and GAAP net loss was $54 million. Non-GAAP operating income was $1,996 million, a 30% margin.
- GAAP profit in the fourth quarter. GAAP operating income was $211 million, against an operating loss of $28 million a year earlier. GAAP net income was $139 million.
- Non-GAAP earnings per share $1.87. Non-GAAP net income was $473 million, and non-GAAP diluted EPS was $1.87, against $0.98 a year earlier.
- Growth from seats and agent use. Management linked Cloud growth to seat expansion in core Jira and Confluence, cross-sell of Service and Teamwork Collection, and Rovo deployment in customer workflows.
- Cloud growth accelerated again. Management said Cloud revenue growth accelerated once again to 31%, after 29% in the third quarter. It expects migrations to add mid-to-high single digits to Cloud growth in fiscal 2027.
- Data Center up 21% on term licences. Data Center revenue was $461.9 million, up 21%. Growth came mainly from greater upfront term license recognition and pricing, partly offset by migrations to Cloud.
- End-of-life notice lifts upfront revenue. Because of the end-of-life announcement for Data Center, a larger share of contract value is recognized as revenue upfront, the company said.
- Marketplace and other up 20%. Marketplace and other revenue was $91.1 million, up 20%, and includes premier support. The take rate on third-party Cloud apps is lower than on Data Center apps, to encourage Forge development.
- Regional revenue split. A slide labelled revenue by geography shows Americas at 48%, EMEA at 41% and Asia Pacific at 11%.
- Rovo usage rising across customers. Over 80% of Fortune 500 companies now use Rovo. Rovo assisted actions rose over 50% q/q, and Rovo adopters grow ARR more than twice as fast as non-adopters.
- Teamwork Collection drives higher ARPU. Teamwork Collection customers use more than twice the AI credits per user and deploy twice as many active agents as standalone customers. Management cites higher ARPU.
- Service Collection growth accelerated. Service Collection revenue growth accelerated as customers deployed more AI-powered service desks. Agentic automations in Service Collection rose nearly 3x over six months.
- MCP and Graph CLI pass 1 million users. Monthly active users of the MCP Server and Teamwork Graph CLI more than doubled in the quarter to pass 1 million. MCP calls rose over 400% from the prior quarter.

What the company does
Atlassian makes team collaboration software that helps organizations connect software, IT, support, leadership and business teams. It was founded in Sydney, Australia in 2002. The filing says its software serves more than 350,000 customers in over 200 countries and territories, including over 85% of the Fortune 500. The company had 13,301 full-time employees as of 30 June 2026.
What it sells
Atlassian sells apps, AI agents and Collections, all built on the Atlassian Cloud Platform. Apps can be bought on their own or as part of a Collection. The key apps named in the filing are Jira, Confluence, Loom, Jira Service Management, Rovo, Bitbucket, Compass, Jira Product Discovery, Focus, Talent, Trello and Guard.
Collections are curated sets of apps and agents aimed at cross-team workflows:
- Teamwork Collection: Jira, Confluence, Loom and Rovo. - Service Collection: Jira Service Management, Customer Service Management, Assets and Rovo. - Strategy Collection: Jira Align, Focus and Talent. - Software Collection: Rovo Dev, DX, Bitbucket, Pipelines and Compass. - Product Collection: Jira Product Discovery, Feedback and Rovo capabilities.
Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management are also listed on their own. More than 50% of users across the core apps belong to business teams.
The platform underneath
The Atlassian Cloud Platform provides shared infrastructure, shared data and common administration across the apps. Its data layer is called the Teamwork Graph, which maps relationships between goals, knowledge, teams and work across Atlassian and third-party tools. The infrastructure layer includes an AI Gateway that routes AI workloads across multiple models.
Rovo is the company's AI offering and has four capabilities: Rovo Search, Rovo Chat, Rovo Agents and Rovo Studio. Platform apps include Home, Teams, Goals, Projects, Administration and Analytics.
How it makes money
Subscriptions make up 95% of total revenues and other revenues make up 5%. Subscription arrangements generally run one to twelve months.
Other revenues mainly come from sales of third-party apps in the Atlassian Marketplace, which Atlassian records on a net basis because it acts as the agent. Other revenues also include advisory, consulting and training services. The Marketplace offers more than 6,000 third-party apps and integrations. Forge is the platform developers use to build cloud apps for themselves or for the Marketplace.
In September 2025 the company announced that it is ending Data Center. It no longer sells term licenses to new customers as of March 2026. The company says it will stop selling term licenses and expansions to existing customers in March 2028 and plans to end maintenance and support for on-premises versions in March 2029.
Who buys and how it sells
Customers range from small companies to large enterprises across almost every industry. No single customer contributed more than 5% of total revenues. Customers with larger Cloud subscriptions account for the majority of Cloud revenue.
New customers mostly arrive through a self-service model. The website is the main place for new customer engagement, and the company relies on word of mouth and low-touch demand generation. A direct sales force, solution sales and a global network of channel partners then work to expand relationships with large existing customers. Partners provide services such as deployment, customization and help with local currency, language and compliance. The company says a higher share of customer sales is signed in the second and fourth quarters of its fiscal year.
Where it fits among competitors
The filing says competitors range from large technology vendors to new businesses, including AI-native companies. For software teams these include project management, collaboration and developer tool vendors. For service teams they include cloud vendors and legacy service desk vendors. For business teams they include suite vendors, point solution makers and general-purpose AI assistants. The filing says that in most cases Atlassian products sit alongside competitors' products inside the same customer. The company says industry analysts have recognized it as a leader in each of its markets.
Technology and intellectual property
Over 50% of employees work in research and development, which also covers billing, support, the Marketplace and Forge. As of 30 June 2026 Atlassian held 664 issued patents and had approximately 557 applications pending in the United States. It has registered "Atlassian" as a trademark in the United States, Australia, the EU, Russia, China, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, Israel, Korea and Canada, among other places.
Its people
Atlassian calls its approach to distributed work "Team Anywhere." The vast majority of employees can work from home, an office or a mix of the two, within 15 countries. Over 10% of employees take part in one or more of eight Employee Resource Groups. Pay combines fixed and variable cash compensation, and the majority of employees also receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. The company has set science-based targets to reach net zero emissions by 2040.
