What the company does
Stagwell Inc. is a marketing and communications group that describes itself as the global challenger network transforming marketing through artificial intelligence. Its specialists work in over 34 countries for more than 4,500 clients as of 31 December 2025. The company owns a portfolio of marketing services and communications firms, which it calls Brands, and reports them in five segments. At 31 December 2025 it employed approximately 10,951 full-time employees and approximately 1,678 contractors and part-time employees.
How the business is organised
Stagwell holds a 100% ownership position in substantially all of its Brands. The remainder are majority owned, with Brand management holding the rest of the equity. Brands are grouped into segments based on the source of most of their revenue. The five reportable segments are Marketing Services, Digital Transformation, Media & Commerce, Communications and The Marketing Cloud.
A corporate team supports the Brands through three layers. Client Services covers go-to-market support, including a Global Solutions team that acts as a single point of contact for key clients. Shared Services runs back-office functions such as IT, accounting, payroll and human resources through a platform called Stagwell CORE.
What it sells
- Marketing Services: creative, research, experiential and social media work. Brands include 72 and Sunny, Anomaly, NRG, Harris Insights, TEAM and Movers & Shakers. - Digital Transformation: strategy, design, website and platform development, marketing technology implementation, and managed services and engineering. Brands include Code and Theory, Instrument, TrueLogic and Left Field Labs. - Media & Commerce: media buying, owned media platforms, commerce enablement and customer relationship management. Brands include Reach TV, Assembly Global and Gale. - Communications: strategic communications, public relations and advocacy services, including political campaign management, grassroots mobilization and fundraising. Brands include Allison, Consulum, SKDK and Targeted Victory. - The Marketing Cloud: software as a service and data as a service tools for in-house marketers, covering research, communications technology and media. Brands include QUEST, Unicepta and Smart Assets.
Who it sells to
Stagwell serves more than 4,500 clients across many sectors. The filing names Google, Amazon, Diageo, Nike, Apple, P&G, United Airlines and Salesforce among them. Many large clients are served by several Brands, though representing a client rarely means handling all of its brands in every location.
The primary source of revenue is agency arrangements, in the form of fees for services performed, commissions, and performance incentives or bonuses. Brands have written contracts with many clients, and these generally allow either party to end them on relatively short notice.
The company says the fourth quarter is typically its highest for revenue because of back-to-school and holiday retail marketing. Client concentration in Communications rises in election years because of its advocacy Brands.
Where it operates
Stagwell has operations in more than 34 countries. It was historically focused on North America, where it was founded, and the United Kingdom. A Global Affiliate Network of more than 70 independent partners adds coverage in more than 20 additional countries without extra investment capital. The 2025 acquisition of ADK added an integrated marketing company with 10 markets, predominantly in Asia Pacific.
The company is building engineering capacity outside the United States, nearshore in Latin America and offshore in Egypt, India and Southeast Asia. Its engineering talent sits mainly in the Digital Transformation Brands.
How it competes
Stagwell competes with the operating subsidiaries of Omnicom Group, WPP plc, Publicis Groupe SA, Dentsu and Havas SA, and with independent agencies. It also faces consultancies such as Accenture and Deloitte, tech platforms and media companies. Products in The Marketing Cloud compete with offerings inside larger holding companies and with those of technology startups and firms such as Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant.
The company goes to market four ways: as individual Brands, as service lines, as Stagwell Global multi-region teams, and as The Marketing Cloud. It keeps Brand identities separate and pays incentives for Brands to collaborate. The company says it believes its digital-first composition gives it an advantage over legacy holding companies.
On technology, it has partnered with Palantir on an AI marketing platform and works with Adobe on AI solutions. It also builds The Machine, which it describes as its agentic operating system.
