What the company does
SSR Mining Inc. is a precious metals mining company with five operations located in the United States, Türkiye, Canada and Argentina. It produces gold doré as well as copper, silver, lead and zinc concentrates. Its common shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol "SSRM". The company employs approximately 2,900 full-time employees and 1,900 contract employees. It was incorporated in British Columbia, Canada in 2005, its predecessor companies date back to 1946, and its corporate office is in Denver, Colorado.
How the business is organised
The company reports five segments, one for each producing mine: Çöpler in Erzincan Province, Türkiye; Marigold in Nevada, United States; Cripple Creek & Victor ("CC&V") in Colorado, United States; Seabee in Saskatchewan, Canada; and Puna in Jujuy Province, Argentina. For 2025, revenue came 0% from Çöpler, 33% from Marigold, 28% from CC&V, 11% from Seabee and 28% from Puna. The company acquired CC&V from Newmont Corporation on 28 February 2025. It also does exploration and development work at properties in the United States, Argentina, Canada and Türkiye. The filing says each mine operates independently and does not rely on cash flows from, or operational synergies with, the others.
What it sells
Çöpler, Marigold, CC&V and Seabee produce gold doré. Doré is unrefined gold bullion bars that generally contain more than 90% gold, and a third party refines it into gold bullion. Puna produces silver, lead and zinc concentrates, which are sold to smelters or traders for further refining. The filing names the prices of gold and silver as key drivers of profitability.
In 2025 the company produced 333,078 ounces of gold. Puna produced 9,814 thousand ounces of silver.
Who buys from it
The company sells gold doré from Marigold, CC&V and Seabee primarily to banks. It sells doré from Çöpler, when that mine is operating, to the Central Bank of Türkiye. In 2025, 33% of revenue came from sales to Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, 13% from the Royal Bank of Canada and 12% from the National Bank of Canada. Silver sales were about 24% of revenue, with 10% sold to Trafigura Trading LLC.
Lead and zinc concentrate with high silver content goes to smelters and traders in Asia and Europe. These sales run under supply contracts updated annually or as needed, or through spot sales. Processing fees are based on demand for the concentrates in the global marketplace.
The Çöpler suspension
On 13 February 2024 the company suspended operations at Çöpler after a slip on the heap leach pad. Operations have not restarted. With the Turkish authorities, the company is remediating the site, which includes permanent closure of the heap leach pad and an end to heap leach processing. The filing says public statements from Turkish government officials have confirmed no recordable contamination to local soil, water or air.
The company's 2021 Environmental Impact Assessment was cancelled after the incident. A restart would follow the 2014 assessment, which sets a sulfide plant throughput of 6,000 tonnes per day, compared with 9,000 under the 2021 assessment. The company says it anticipates that, if approved, initial operations would process stockpiled ore and ore mined from Çakmaktepe. It also says it cannot estimate if, when and under what conditions it will be authorized to resume operations.
How it competes and is regulated
It notes that many larger competitors have additional financial and technical resources. Apart from operating licences for its mining and processing facilities, it says no third party patents, licences or franchises are material to its business. It conducts mining and exploration under concessions granted by, or contracts with, the host governments of the United States, Canada, Argentina and Türkiye.
Environmental laws in each jurisdiction cover air, water, waste, wildlife and land reclamation. The company obtains governmental permits and in some cases provides bonding. It has reclamation obligations at Çöpler, Marigold, CC&V, Seabee and Puna, supported by bonds or other financial assurances held by the relevant authorities.
Its people
The workforce is spread across the United States, Canada, Argentina and Türkiye. Certain employees in Türkiye and Argentina are represented by a union, and about 25% of the workforce was union represented at 31 December 2025. The Board's Technical, Safety and Sustainability Committee reviews safety, health, security, environment and community relations policies and practices. The company has a Human Rights Policy aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
