What the company does

EverCommerce provides software-as-a-service ("SaaS") products to small and medium-sized businesses that sell services, which it calls service SMBs. The company describes itself as a leading provider of integrated, vertically-tailored SaaS for this market. As of 31 December 2025 it served more than 745,000 customers across three core verticals: EverPro for Home Services, EverHealth for Health Services and EverWell for Wellness Services. About 68% of those customers were based in the United States and about 32% were international. The company was formed in Delaware in September 2016 as PaySimple Holdings, Inc., and changed its name to EverCommerce Inc. in December 2020.

How the business is organised

EverCommerce goes to market through three verticals, each with its own suite of products. EverPro serves home service professionals such as HVAC and plumbing firms, electricians, remodeling contractors, landscapers, pest control businesses, and security and alarm installers. EverHealth serves specialty private medical practices, mental health therapists, general practitioners, physical, occupational and speech therapists, and specialty branches of hospital systems. EverWell serves salons, spas, massage therapists and medi-aesthetics businesses. The company also sells selected products to other service groups, including education, non-profit, pet care and automotive repair.

What it sells

Each suite is built from three kinds of product:

- Business Management Software: the system of action at the center of a service business, such as route-based dispatching or medical practice management. It is typically the first product a customer adopts. - Billing & Payment Solutions: integrated payments, invoicing automation, analytics, point-of-sale, online bill payments, recurring billing and mobile payments. Supported payment types are credit card, debit card and Automated Clearing House ("ACH") processing. - Customer Experience Solutions: customer surveys, feedback collection, review generation, reputation management and a digital communication suite.

On 15 September 2025 the company acquired Joblyt LLC, dba ZyraTalk, an AI-powered customer engagement product with virtual assistant capabilities and an agentic automation platform. The company says it plans to use it first in EverPro and then extend it to other verticals. On 31 October 2025 it sold its marketing technology solutions business to Ignite Visibility. In 2024 it sold its Fitness Solutions businesses to Jonas Software.

How it makes money

The company reports two types of revenue. Subscription and Transaction Fees are mostly recurring. They include monthly, quarterly and annual SaaS subscriptions, software license and maintenance fees, payment processing fees based on transaction volumes, and membership subscriptions plus a share of supplier rebates from group purchasing programs. Other revenue covers consulting, implementation and training, website development, business development partnerships, event income and hardware sales. About 96% of revenue was recurring or re-occurring.

Subscription contracts run from one month to five years. Payment processing contracts generally run for one month and renew automatically. Payment revenue is recorded net of interchange and network fees.

Who it sells to

Customers are mostly very small. The company counts a customer at the level of each individual business, so a franchise or multi-location brand is counted by location. Its "land and expand" approach starts with the business management software and then cross-sells payments and customer engagement products. The company says cross-selling payments is a primary focus. It has acquired 54 companies since it began, most of them before 2022.

How it competes

The company names three groups of competitors:

- Manual processes, basic PC tools, standalone payment terminals and homegrown systems. - Vertically specialized software, including field service platforms, EHR/EMR and practice management platforms, and scheduling tools. - Horizontal providers, named as Salesforce for customer relationship management, Intuit for financial products and Square for payments.

Its people and technology

The company had approximately 1,800 employees in five countries as of 31 December 2025, including approximately 1,400 in the United States. None are represented by labor unions. Product development uses both internal teams and outside firms, including contractors in the United States and abroad. A Security Operations team handles risk assessments, monitoring and incident response.

The company has 115 registered trademarks in the United States, seven issued United States patents and about 3,200 registered domain names. Its payments and healthcare businesses are subject to rules such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the National Automated Clearing House Association ACH Rules and HIPAA.
