- Building Materials revenue up 8.2%. Building Materials revenue rose 8.2% to $2,445 million, driven by volume growth, acquisitions and aggregates price increases.
- Building Materials profit up 5.2%. Segment Adjusted EBITDA rose 5.2% to $793 million, with margin at 32.4% against 33.4%. Management cited volume, aggregates price, acquisitions and ASPIRE, offset partly by freight and diesel.
- Building Envelope revenue up on volume. Building Envelope revenue rose 9.4% to $1,049 million on above-market volume growth, while segment Adjusted EBITDA fell 5.2% to $237 million.
- Building Envelope margin fell. Building Envelope segment Adjusted EBITDA was $237 million against $250 million a year earlier, with margin at 22.6% against 26.1%.
- PB Materials contributed in West Texas. PB Materials, a recently acquired aggregates business in West Texas, made contributions to the quarter.

- Aggregates volume and price up. Aggregates volumes rose 6.5% to 34.3 million tons, and freight adjusted constant currency pricing rose 4.0%, supported across geographies.
- Commercial roofing volumes rose. Commercial roofing volume growth came from system selling and large-scale projects, including data centers and warehousing, plus re-roofing demand.
- Residential roofing grew above market. Residential roofing volumes grew above market on commercial capabilities and distributor stocking. Softer weatherproofing and insulation demand partly offset growth.
- Oil-driven cost inflation rising. Management said oil price driven cost inflation raised freight, diesel and raw materials costs, which it is managing with pricing, fuel surcharges and ASPIRE.

What the company does
Amrize Ltd is a building solutions company focused on the North American market. More than 19,000 employees work across more than 1,000 sites, facilities and corporate offices in the United States, Canada, Colombia, Switzerland and Jamaica. They serve more than 23,000 customers in infrastructure, commercial and residential construction. Holcim Ltd completed the spin-off of the company on 23 June 2025 by distributing 100% of its shares to Holcim shareholders, and the shares trade under the symbol AMRZ on the New York Stock Exchange and the SIX Swiss Exchange.
How the business is organised
The company reports two segments, Building Materials and Building Envelope. Building Materials made up 72.1% of revenues in 2025 and Building Envelope 27.9%. The company serves both new construction and repair and refurbishment, and repair and refurbishment accounted for 43% of overall revenues in 2025. Amrize was incorporated in Switzerland on 6 April 2023. Its principal executive offices are in Zug, Switzerland, and it has operational headquarters in Chicago.
What it sells
Building Materials covers cement and aggregates, plus downstream products such as ready-mix concrete and asphalt. Aggregates include natural stone, sand and gravel, and alternative sources such as recycled concrete and slag. Ready-mix concrete is blended from cement, aggregates and additives to suit each project.
Building Envelope sells roofing and wall systems, including single-ply membranes, insulation, shingles, sheathing, waterproofing and protective coatings. It also sells the adhesives, tapes and sealants used to apply them. Its brands are:
- Duro-Last, which makes thermoplastic single-ply roofing and fabricates PVC membranes, accessories, edge metal and fasteners in-house. - Elevate, which offers commercial roofing systems and insulation boards. - Malarkey, which provides residential roofing from shingles to ice and water barriers. - OX Engineered Products, which makes house wraps, structural sheathing and integrated wall systems. - Enverge, which offers open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation. - Gaco, which offers liquid-applied coatings for roof restoration, decking, waterproofing and anti-slip protection.
Building Envelope products are sold individually or in warrantied systems, either directly to contractors or through authorized distributors and dealers.
Who buys from it
Customers include home builders, commercial builders, architects and designers, distributors, contractors and government authorities. No material part of Building Materials depends on a single customer or a few customers. Building Envelope revenues are largely attributable to a few large distributors. No individual customer represents more than 10% of company revenues.
How it competes
The industry is highly localized because transporting these products costs a lot relative to their price.
It says that no single competitor challenges it across all of its product offerings.
For intellectual property, it owns approximately 300 patents and patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and approximately 200 outside the United States. It also owns approximately 240 trademarks registered or pending with that office and approximately 2,300 outside the United States.
What it needs to operate
The cement, ready-mix and aggregates businesses depend on limestone, aggregates, sand and mineral additives such as slag and fly ash. Building Envelope relies heavily on petroleum-based products, chemicals, resins, asphalt, glass fiber and granules.
Demand follows the weather, with higher activity from late spring to early fall and lower demand and production in winter.
Its people
Of the more than 19,000 employees during primary operational seasons, approximately 6,800 are salaried and approximately 12,700 are hourly. About 6,200 of the hourly employees work under collective bargaining agreements with local unions. Headcount changes with the season. The company runs safety programs with training and incident investigation. Its development programs include Build for Growth for early-career employees, sales training, leadership development and tuition reimbursement.
