What the company does
GPGI, Inc., formerly CompoSecure, Inc., describes itself as a permanent capital platform designed to acquire, own and scale businesses that hold "great positions in good industries." It owns two operating businesses. CompoSecure makes premium metal payment cards and secure authentication products, and Husky makes injection molding equipment and provides aftermarket services. Husky joined the company on 12 January 2026. As of 1 February 2026, CompoSecure had approximately 971 full-time employees and Husky had approximately 4,556. The company's Class A Common Stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "GPGI."
How the business is organised
GPGI holds its operating businesses through GPGI Holdings, L.L.C. Day-to-day management and strategy sit with Resolute Holdings Management, Inc. (NYSE: RHLD), which was formed as a subsidiary of the company and spun off to its shareholders on 28 February 2025. Shareholders received one Resolute Holdings share for every twelve shares of the company they held.
Resolute Holdings runs CompoSecure under the CompoSecure Management Agreement and Husky under the Husky Management Agreement, which has substantially identical terms. Each agreement pays Resolute Holdings a quarterly fee equal to 2.5% of the trailing twelve months' Adjusted EBITDA of the business concerned, as the agreements define it. Each has an initial term of 10 years and renews automatically for successive ten-year terms. Because control of Holdings passed to Resolute Holdings, GPGI no longer consolidates Holdings and accounts for it under the equity method. The company says its own activities are limited to its stock market listing, public company reporting, its tax receivable agreement and its equity method income.
CompoSecure
CompoSecure was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey. The company calls it the global leader in premium metal payment cards. It has made metal cards since 2003. The cards combine a metal core with EMV chips, magnetic stripes and contactless payment technology, and they meet certification requirements set by global payment networks.
The company reports approximately 75%+ market share in the global metal payment card market. It delivered more than 32 million payment cards in 2025 and serves over 150 customers across 200 branded and co-branded card programs. Named customers include American Express, JPMorgan Chase and Capital One, along with Coinbase, Robinhood and Gemini. The company estimates the global market at approximately 5.5 billion payment cards in issuance, and puts its own share of that at less than 1%.
Its Arculus platform pairs a physical metal card with a mobile app for three-factor authentication, authorisation of high-value transactions and cold storage of digital assets. CompoSecure holds over 1,000 design and utility patents and also sells Prelams, which are pre-laminated sub-assemblies used inside finished cards.
Husky
Husky was founded in 1953 and is headquartered in Bolton, Ontario. The company calls it the leading global manufacturer of highly engineered injection molding equipment and aftermarket tooling and services. Its equipment serves food, beverage, medical device and general packaging uses, among others. Its products include injection molding systems, application-specific molds and hot runners, and precision controllers. Its Advantage+Elite remote asset monitoring lets technicians watch customers' equipment around the world in real time.
As of 31 December 2025, Husky served approximately 4,000 customers in approximately 140 countries through approximately 13,500 installed systems. More than 6,000 of those are fully integrated PET systems. It has manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Luxembourg, Switzerland, China and India. It has approximately 650 service representatives, with service technicians in over 50 countries, and approximately 1,350 issued and active patents.
How it earns money
CompoSecure's sales come mainly from designing and making metal cards, including contact and dual interface cards, and from selling Prelams. Its customers are mainly banks and other card issuers in the United States, with direct and indirect customers in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Canada and the Middle East. The company says demand recurs after a program launches, driven by new accounts, portfolio expansion, upgrades and reissuance for loss, theft or expiry. Orders are short term, invoices are issued when control of the goods transfers, and payment terms run from 15 to 60 days. Some customers receive rebates based on shipped volume.
Husky says approximately 65% of its revenue comes from aftermarket molds, hot runners and controllers, service contracts, parts and tooling, and technology upgrades on its installed base.
How it chooses acquisitions
GPGI says it tests each candidate against six criteria:
- a great position - a good industry - technological differentiation - opportunities for organic growth - opportunities for inorganic growth - opportunities for margin expansion, with sustainable free cash flow
Acquisitions could be bolt-ons to CompoSecure or Husky, or businesses in other industries that would form a new segment. The company applies the Resolute Operating System across its businesses. It says it believes its permanent capital makes it a structurally advantaged buyer of sponsor-owned assets.
Its people
The company states that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer. It maintains a Code of Conduct with regular employee training and a whistleblower hotline. Compensation includes base pay, annual cash incentives, long-term equity incentives and health and other benefits. CompoSecure also had approximately 6 part-time employees and Husky approximately 80.
